Day 1 VILNIUS
Flight Paris – Vilnius 13.40 – 17.20
Arrival in Vilnius, the capital of Lithuania.
Vilnius or Wilno, Capital of Grand Dukes of Lithuania, is known for its more than 1.200 medieval buildings and 48 churches.
Meeting in airport with French speaking guide. Transfer and check in Hotel. 
YOUR GUIDED TOUR STARTS with a welcome drink at 20:00 in the hotel and your information pack.
Dinner in typical Lithuanian Restaurant, possible also folklore dinner (at Restaurant Belmontas or similar).

Day 2 VILNIUS
Breakfast in hotel.
Vilnius morning sightseeing tour, which includes visits to the medieval and modern sections of the city. A panoramic tour of the city and a walking tour of the Old Town with Vilnius Cathedral of SS Peter & Paul, Duke Gediminas Tower, Peter and Paul Church, St. Anne’s Church,, a gem of Gothic architecture, Old Jesuit University and the Renaissance Gates of Dawn.
Your afternoon is free to explore the city on your own, or we invite to take the OPTIONAL sightseeing tour to Trakai (40 km), the former capital of Lithuania.
The stunning, well preserved red brick 14th century lake castle is beautifully situated on an island in the middle of Galves Lake. The Castle, Residence of Grand Duke, was famously guarded by Crimean Tartar Guard, whose delightful food kibinas can be tried in small typical village houses.

Day 3 VILNIUS – RIGA
After breakfast, depart by coach. Heading for Riga, the first stop is the stunning Hills of Crosses, one of the most holy sites of Catholic Lithuania (Unesco site) and important in neighboring Poland. A short guided tour.
After crossing into Latvia we soon reach the magnificent Rundale (Ruthenthal) Palace, the former summer residence of the Duke of Courland built by the same architect Rastrelli whose best known work is Hermitage – Winter Palace in St.Petersburg. After a guided tour of the Rundale palace (possible lunch in Servant House) we travel amid the rolling hills of Southern Latvia to reach Riga late afternoon.

Day 4 RIGA
After breakfast, you will be taken on a Riga city tour.
Livonian capital and Medieval Free Town Riga, founded in 1201 by the Saxon bishop Albert, is the largest of the three Baltic capitals, the first township of Livonia and boasts a true kaleidoscope of architectural styles. The Old Town will delight you with the colorfully painted merchants’ residences, cozy cafes and beer cellars, showing Saxon origins of city founders, historical monuments like the Barocco Dome Cathedral, Gothic St. Peter's Church, the Powder Tower, the Swedish Gate, the Three Brothers, the Large and Small Guilds and the national treasure - Freedom Monument.
Extend the walk to Central Marked placed in Zeppelin Hangars of the First WW – once the largest covered market in Europe.
View the masterpieces of early 20th century Art Nouveau architecture. Free afternoon reserved for an optional visit to Jurmala, the vibrant Latvian summer resort town known for its wooden architecture and sandy beaches. In the evening, enjoy an optional Latvian dinner at traditional Latvian or Russian Restaurant.

Day 5 RIGA - OPTIONAL

Today we’ll have the possibility of discovering medieval Latvian countryside.
OPTIONAL sightseeing tour to nearby Segenwold - Sigulda, called by locals the “Latvian Switzerland”, because of the beauty of the stunning scenery of the Gauja National Park.
We visit the 13th century Trayden (Turaida) Knight's Castle and listen to the medieval Latvian legend of the Rose of Turaida, and see Maiya’s Tombstone.
Free afternoon. It offers an OPTIONAL visit to the Ethnographical Open Air Museum, a spacious Skansen exposition of 18th century country life. 
In the evening we offer an optional organ concert at the Dome Cathedral.

Day 6 RIGA - TALLINN
After breakfast, depart by coach to Tallinn. En route, You view the Baltic Sea Coast, and take a brief sightseeing tour of the once German, now Estonian seaside town of Pernau / Parnu, for old town Reiter Street and along the sea coast. Arrive in Tallinn and check in at hotel.
Overnight in Nordic Hotel Forum or similar.

Day 7 TALLINN
Tallinn is a charming blend of medieval tranquility and modern urban life, and arguably the most picturesque Baltic city, walled and surrounded by 28 medieval towers, numerous shops, galleries, souvenir markets, outdoor cafés. It’s Upper Town, once residence of powerful Baltic Baron families, is containing Parliament in Rococo palace, incongruously bright Orthodox Cathedral and Protestant Dome, as well as boasting fine viewpoints. The medieval Lower Town is a busy place in the summer, having the oldest Town Hall in Northern Europe, the oldest working Pharmacy in Europe and so on.
After breakfast, the sightseeing tour takes us around the old city walls on a Tallinn city tour, visiting the Upper and Lower towns.
Free afternoon or OPTIONAL tour to Kadriorg Palace, founded in 1721 by Russian Emperor Peter the Great, as a summer residence for his wife, now holding fine art collection.

Day 6 NARVA  – ST.PETERSBURG (WHITE NIGHTS IN SUMMER TIME)
After breakfast, depart by coach to St.Petersburg. En route, we  make a stop in Narva town, whose most impressive sights are two medieval fortresses narrowly separated by tiny river, one is Narva fortress with mighty Hermann tower, the other – Ivangorod fortress built by Russians, on their side. After this we follow border procedures to leave EU.
Later in evening check in hotel.
In the evening enjoy an optional Russian dinner at Restaurant Na Zdorovye.

 DAY 7  ST.PETERSBURG
Late breakfast. During the late morning sightseeing tour, get acquainted with all the splendors of the city: the Peter & Paul Fortress, the Winter Palace, St. Isaac’s Cathedral, the colorful Church of the Bleeding Savior, places where Dostoevsky lived and notorious Rasputin was assassinated, much more.
The afternoon offers an optional guided visit to the world-famous Hermitage Art Museum and in the evening another optional visit to the Nikolaevski Palace for a Russian folklore show, local "champagne" and snacks.
Another afternoon option: guided tour to Catherine's Palace and the restored Amber Room, which mysteriously vanished during WWII.

Day 8 ST.PETERSBURG – PETERHOF
Excursion in the morning offers a visit to Peterhof and the Grand Palace, Grand Cascade and its wonderful gilded figures and Water Avenue.

Day 2 RIGA

Day 3 RIGA
After breakfast, depart by coach to the magnificent Rundale (Ruthenthal) Palace, the former summer residence of the Duke of Courland built by the same architect Rastrelli whose best known work is Hermitage – Winter Palace in StPetersbourg. After a guided tour of the Rundale palace (possible lunch in Servant House) we travel to Jurmala. Free afternoon reserved for visit the vibrant Latvian summer resort town known for its wooden architecture and sandy beaches.

Day 4 PALANGA
After breakfast, we depart to Lithuania. The first stop is the stunning Hills of Crosses, one of the most holy sites of Catholic Lithuania (Unesco site) and important in neighboring Poland. A short guided tour.

Day 5 CURONIAN SPIT
Breakfast in hotel. The day is reserved for a full-day tour to the Curonian Spit, a thin 100 km stretch of land between the Baltic Sea and the Curonian Lagoon with small fishing villages, pine forests and endless sand dunes. Our first stop is the Dead Dune at Pervalka which has buried entire village. After that we continue to once flourishing German resort town Nida, where we visit the High Dunes, Thomas Mann’s summerhouse and get acquainted with the charming resort town before we drive back to Klaipeda.
The evening offers an optional Lithuanian dinner at Restaurant Anikes.
Border crossing, travel to Kaliningrad.

Day 6 KALININGRAD
Breakfast in hotel. Kaliningrad (Калининград) is a picturesque city located at the mouth of the Pregel river. Founded in 1255 as Königsberg, the city was the capital of German East Prussia until the end of World War II. Transferred to the USSR in 1945, it was named Кaliningrad in 1946.
Sandwiched between Lithuania and Poland, it contains reminders of Prussian rule, grand Cathedral, monument to Immanuel Cant, and even more reminders of cruel WWII battles and Soviet realities of Cold War epoch. Immersion in so different reality is possible during our City tour!

Day 7 KAUNAS
Breakfast in hotel. Return to Lithuania. We visit Trakai, the former capital of Lithuania.
The stunning, well preserved red brick 14th century lake castle is beautifully situated on an island in the middle of Galves Lake. The Castle, Residence of Grand Duke, was famously guarded by Crimean Tartar Guard, whose delightful food kibinas can be tried in small typical village houses.

Day 8 VILNIUS
Vilnius or Wilno, Capital of Grand Dukes of Lithuania, is known for its more than 1.200 medieval buildings and 48 churches.
Vilnius morning sightseeing tour, which includes visits to the medieval and modern sections of the city. A panoramic tour of the city and a walking tour of the Old Town with Vilnius Cathedral of SS Peter & Paul, Duke Gediminas Tower, Peter and Paul Church, St. Anne’s Church,, a gem of Gothic architecture, Old Jesuit University and the Renaissance Gates of Dawn.
